My first landing in Yakushima ― 2010/11/20
I went to Yakushima. This was the first time I have gone to the island.
The airport was very small. They did not have a turntable at the baggage claim,
so they handed our baggage to us. Because Yakushima is a World Heritage site,
and I heard there ware very many visitors, I was very surprised at that.
They say Tobiuo (a flying fish) is a local specialty, so we lost no time having
a deep-flied Toppy (a nickname for Tobiuo), and it was very tasty.
We are going to see Jomonsugi tomorrow.
