Yokohama ― 2011/12/30

We arrived by bus at Yokohama station at 7:30am, and went to Motomachi-Chukagai station by train. Then we walked around Yamashita Park. There were some famous objects and the historical luxury liner “Hikawamaru” was moored to the wharf.

Our main interest was reaching the Landmark Tower in the morning. Before arriving, we took a break at a café where we were able to see the entire Minatomirai Aria, which is considered to be symbolic scenery in Yokohama.
Today, we had extremely good weather, so we were in high spirits when we took photos.

The Landmark Tower is the tallest skyscraper in Japan. The Sky Garden situated on its 69th floor, is the highest observatory in Japan at 273m tall. I was a little scared the elevator, which is the fastest in Japan, moving at 750 meters per minute. But the view from the top was fantastic. What’s more, we were lucky to see Mt. Fuji.

We returned to Motomachi-Chukagai station and had lunch in China town. The dish I had was “四川坦々刀削麺”. I did not know what this said, but it was nice and hot.

Today’s main event was Masaharu Fukuyama’s concert, so we went to the concert hall to buy some goods before the doors opened. Afterwards, we checked in to our hotel to have a little rest. We walked a lot today.
Our seats were quite good, and Mr. Fukuyama approached our area three or four times. We had a wonderful time and were very happy.

After the concert, we went to the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse for dinner. We enjoyed the night view from there.
It was a long and full day.
