Do you know the difference between a water lily and a lotus ? I have just checked it now. It is said that their leaves are different. The leaves of a water lily have a slit. The flowers bloom in the morning, and they do not bloom in the night. Then they bloom for 3 days. In Japanese, it is called SUILEN. "SUI" means sleeping, and "LEN" means repeat. That is the origin of Japanese name. By the way, the root of HASU is "a lotus root"(RENKON).
