The opening ceremony for the high school baseball tournament was held at the Koshien Stadium today. I went there and took part in forming human letters for the first time in my life. We gathered at 7 am, two hours before the tournament began. A set of cards had been left on each seat before we arrived. The cards had two colors, blue and white. The letters could be used to form five messages. There were some instructions on the reverse side of the cards. We practiced and checked the height at which we needed to hold the cards.

We performed while the representative players were marching during the opening ceremony. I had wanted to perform as a part of human letters at Koshien for a long time, so I was very excited.

During the ceremony, we prayed silently for the Eastern Japan disaster victims and the atomic bomb victims in Hiroshima.

After the ceremony, we watched two games and came home.
