Tokyo Philharmonic Chorus ― 2011/03/26

I went to a concert by Tokyo Philharmonic Chorus today.
We heard they had been troubled about the program and whether it would be appropriate to sing only two weeks after the great earthquake, because the theme of the fourth program was a revival of the Hanshin Earthquake, a work completed three years ago, which was 13 years after that earthquake.
They performed "翼をください" which can be translated "Give me Wings" for the last song, instead of "Joyful Joyful," (←in English, this is more often known as “Ode to Joy”) which had been printed in the program.
I had a great time listening to the excellent performances, and also I was able to think calmly about what I should do now. I want to live each day to the fullest, as I have been thinking since the Hanshin Earthquake.
I am thankful to those who put on today's concert and glad that they did not cancel it.
I pray for the repose of the victims of the Great Tohoku-Kanto Earthquake.
