Nowake is an old district often hit by typhoons. It is said that the 210^th and 220^th day from Vernal Equinox Day are critical days for agriculture famers and the agricultural industry, because typhoon often hit around this time destroying rice fields before the harvest. The typhoon, named typhoon No.12, hit on the 212^th day.
